The Panaracer Pasela Tour Guard tyres are designed for tarmac riding
with some off road potential. A kevlar strip beneath increases puncture resistance whilst durable
rubber compound gives good grip in a variety of weather conditions.
Review
The Panaracer Pasela Tour Guard tyres
are light and sporty but amazingly puncture resistant. We used the tyres for 4,000km
from London to Istanbul on a variety of surfaces from rough tarmac to
lose gravel roads, the performance was generally excellent. On gravel roads you
need to take more care as the shallow tread can struggle to grip in loose gravel.
The majority of our riding was on tarmac so this caused no great concern.
The tyres fit well into the rims and under high pressure show no signs of buldge.
The kevlar strip in the tyre is highly puncture resistant, we had only one puncture on one of our bicycles over 4,000km.

- Can lose some grip on loose gravel.
